General Presets

Build reusable Main + Assistant lineups your tasks march with.

A General Preset is a saved lineup — which generals lead as Main, which ride along as Assistant — plus how the bot finds them in the game. Tasks that send marches or join rallies reference a preset by name, so you set your generals up once and reuse them everywhere (for example a "Rally Join — Cavalry" lineup).

Open the Generals library (Resources ▸ Generals) and click General Presets — this opens the Manage general presets dialog. The same dialog opens from the layers button beside a task's preset dropdown (Manage your general presets), including a Rally Setter or Solo Hunt march slot. It is shared setup, not a task or duty; tasks reference a preset by name.

Build a lineup

  1. Click New preset, then type a name into Preset name (for example "Rally Join — Cavalry").
  2. In the Generals roster, tap each general's MAIN and/or ASST tag — a general can be both. Only preset-ready generals (the ones that carry a detector, i.e. have been scanned) appear here; the rest stay hidden until you re-scan them or set a region in Edit — a note under the roster counts them (2 generals hidden — no detector yet (re-scan or set a region in Edit).).
  3. Set the in-game selection for each side (below), then click Save preset.

The dialog

Pairing assistants to a main

Each Main carries a pairing pip in its top-right corner — a number once it has paired assistants, otherwise a +. Tap it to open "<main's name> — paired assistants": every other preset-ready general, one row each. Tick exactly which ones ride with that Main — they are tried in the order you tick them (a small number on each row shows the order). A general tagged ASST in the preset wears a pool mark, so you can see it is also in the plain Assistant pool.

  1. Tick assistants in order — the number shows the order
  2. pool — also in this preset's Assistant pool
  3. If none of them can be found
Pairing assistants with one Main, and the fallback for when none can be found.

The popup also holds If none of them can be found, with three choices: Use the Assistant pool (default), March with the main only and Skip this main. At march time the bot seats the Main and tries its paired assistants in your tick order. When none of them turns up: Use the Assistant pool tries the rest of the pool and marches the Main alone if that finds nobody either; March with the main only marches the Main alone at once; Skip this main gives that Main up and picks the next one the preset allows.

Click Save in that popup to keep the pairing (Cancel drops it) — it does not write the preset itself; you still finish with Save preset on the main dialog.

In-game selection settings

The bottom card tells the bot how to navigate to and pick each side in the game. Main and Assistant each keep their own settings, in one row — switch between the two with the segmented tab on the right of the card header.

Eligible mains
(Main only) which Mains the bot may pick: First main found (default), Try paired mains first, or Paired mains only.
Category
which in-game general tab to search — All (default), Military, Development, Duty or Subordinate City.
View
Detail (default) matches a general's full portrait; List matches the smaller list tiles.
In-game filters
apply the game's Favorite and/or Idle filters while searching — multi-select, so both can be on together (Favorite + Idle). Default: None.
Swipes
how many times to scroll the list while looking for a match. Range 0–50; 0 counts as the default. Default: 3.
A preset stores the lineup and these rules, not the generals' images — those live in the Generals library. Tasks like Rally Joiner and Rally Setter apply the whole preset at run time.

How it runs

Examples

Only preset-ready generals — the ones with a detector — can be tagged. A general you just scanned but never gave a recognition region stays hidden here until you fix that in Edit.
Edits are kept only by Save preset (Preset saved confirms it). Clicking another preset, New preset or closing the dialog drops anything not saved, without asking. Delete asks first (Delete “Rally Join — Cavalry”?).

Troubleshooting

A general I scanned does not show up in the roster.
It has no detector yet, so it is not preset-ready — the dialog names how many are hidden for this reason. Re-scan it or set a recognition region for it in Edit.
Save preset says "Name required".
The Preset name field is empty — Give the preset a name. A preset must be named before it can be saved.
The bot keeps picking a different Main than I expect.
Check Eligible mains: First main found takes whichever tagged Main turns up first while scrolling, regardless of pairing. Set it to Paired mains only to restrict the bot to Mains you have actually paired assistants to.
An assistant I ticked never marches.
It may no longer be preset-ready, or another paired assistant is found first — one ticked earlier, or one on the screen of the list in view. Check its tick order in that Main's paired-assistants popup.
My pairing changes were lost.
The popup's Save only keeps them in the dialog: finish with Save preset before switching presets or closing.
