City Mapper
Map each account's city once, so tasks can walk to any building.
City Mapper keeps one city map for each account's city: where every building stands, the picture the bot recognises it by, and which emulator on this PC the city lives on. A task that has to open a building — the Keep, the Tavern, a training building — then walks the city view there on its own and taps it.
Which tasks need a mapped city
A task that goes to a building needs that building Ready on its instance's city map; until it is, the task's readiness row says what is missing before Start. These are the buildings the bot's own tasks go to — the Recommended Buildings to map:
Map your cities
There are two ways to map a city, and one map can mix them building by building. Auto map maps a city from the game's own pictures of its buildings — it looks, it never taps — and checks the map after every scan. With Map by hand you place buildings yourself on the live screen, with your own pictures if you want them. Start with Auto map:
- Start the emulators and open the game on each city you want mapped.
- Open City Mapper and click Auto map. The open emulators with no city map yet are ticked; the ones that already have a map are not — tick one to update its map.
- Check the PREVIEW: each ticked emulator becomes a New map (named after the emulator; click the name to change it) or updates the map it has. Click Scan N emulators. Every ticked city is read at the same time, and each new map is linked to its emulator.
- When the run is done, open a map. A building the scan could not see clearly is left unplaced (never guessed) — scan it again, or place it with Map by hand.

The header holds Map by hand and Auto map. Below it, the summary counts the maps — ready, scanning, needing attention — and offers one shortcut when there is something to do: Link them (Link it) when maps are not linked on this PC, or See results once an Auto map run has finished. Under Standing Watch the summary, the filter bar and a run's bar share one plate over a gallery of map tiles; the words and the clicks are the same in every theme.
With no maps yet the library shows No city maps yet with the two buttons and the emulators that are open. From 40 maps the cards become compact rows.

A map opens at once — offline, with its emulator stopped, or on a PC where it is not linked: the page never connects to an emulator. Only Map by hand and an Auto map run do.
Every building has a tile — the Buildings to map first, then the rest marked · extra — with a lamp and its state:
A building with something to clear wears a small bin — Clear — in its corner (it asks first, and the toast has Undo); one you placed or captured by hand also wears a hand mark, and a re-scan keeps it. Click a tile to select it (Ctrl+click for several, Ctrl+A for all, Esc to let go), and a bar floats over the foot of the tiles with Map by hand, Scan this building (Scan N buildings for several) and, when the building has pictures of your own and the app has one too, Use app art.

A run shows on the library: a bar above the maps — Scanning 4 cities · 1 ready · 2 mapping · 1 waiting, a meter, Stop all and Details ▾ — and a panel of every city with its status, its buildings and its own log. Each building is on the map the moment it is found, so a map fills while its city is still being read. A city ends ready, incomplete (a building to map was not found), failed or stopped; Retry and Map by hand are on its row. Buildings it was not asked for but saw on the way are added too.
How Auto map reads a city — and checks it
- It reads the city's culture from one screen, then looks at the city from the fewest views it needs, and places each building it recognises clearly. One it cannot see clearly is reported not found and left unplaced — never guessed.
- A closer look. A building that never moves (the Walls, say) that is still not found gets views of its own: centred on screen after a longer wait for whatever covered it to move on, then from a little aside. The log says found on a closer look when that works.
- The check after every scan. The view then goes over every building on the map — the ones just placed, the ones kept, the ones you placed by hand — and looks for each where the map has it, tapping nothing (Checking the map · view 2 of 8). One it does not see there is named in the verdict (Walls not seen on the check) and its tile reads Not seen in last scan; its pin is not moved.
- Run from a map's own Auto map ▾, the scan shows on that page: a bar with its progress and Stop, and beside the tiles the last screen it read, with every building it recognised outlined. When it ends, the toast has Undo — every building it changed goes back as it was.

Click Map by hand on a map's page — or in the library, which first asks for one open emulator (or a Port) and a Name, then Create makes the map and links it. The page header becomes Done, and a line under the name says what the mode is doing — Mapping by hand on MuMu #3 · Following live · Calibrated. Opening the mode touches nothing: the first action (Connect, Re-align, the pad, an arrow key) connects.
- Pick a building in the list. The card names its next step, and the big button does it — Connect → Place pin (click the building on the city) → Capture art (drag a box around it) → Test: go to it (Evonex walks to it and opens it) → Mark ready.
- A building the app already has a picture of needs no capture of its own. One the live screen shows that the map lacks wears a + on the canvas and + on screen in the list: Add it here maps it in one click, ready, with Undo. One mapped somewhere else reads · move here.
- After Mark ready the card moves on to the next unfinished building. Click Done when you are finished.
The map follows the emulator. While connected, the mode watches the emulator and places every screen on your city — so you can move the city with the pad, the arrow keys, or by hand in the emulator, and the frame and every pin follow. Keep the city zoomed all the way out: zooming in breaks it.
Link a map to its emulator
A map is linked to an emulator — or to a port — on this PC. The link is this PC's alone: buildings and pictures sync to your other PCs, the emulator does not. Auto map links every map it scans, and Map by hand links the map it creates; to change one, click the emulator chip (or a card's Link):
- The popover (LINK ON THIS PC) lists every emulator this PC knows — the linked one first, then open, then stopped. A click links at once; the toast has Undo. When the instances that chose this map run on one emulator, it is offered first as Link to ….
- Port takes an address such as 127.0.0.1:16448 and Enter — for an emulator Evonex can't name. A port that belongs to a named emulator offers that emulator instead.
- Unlink clears the link; the map and its buildings stay.
- Maps that arrive from another PC are not linked here: the library says N maps are not linked on this PC with Link them (Link it for one). That opens Link maps on this PC: one row per map, ticked, with the emulator suggested for it — or Pick one… where there is no suggestion. Nothing is linked until you press Link N; the toast then offers Undo. Auto map can link them too — it offers such an emulator under HAVE A MAP as not linked here, and updates that map instead of making a second one.
Which map an instance uses
An instance uses the city map on its emulator — every instance on that emulator uses the same one. An instance that must drive a different city (another account on the same emulator) has its map chosen by name instead: in the Instance Manager's City map column (a click offers Follows its emulator or Choose a city map; select several rows to set many at once), or in the instance's Settings ▸ City map. The column reads the map's name, Choose… when the emulator has two maps, No map, or Missing: Kyoto when a chosen map was deleted.
When the city changes culture
The map follows the city. When a task walking to a building recognises nothing of the map and the screen shows the city in another culture, the task maps the city again right there on its own emulator — about half a minute, nothing tapped — and walks on: This city is Japan now, but its map was made in Korea — mapping it again…, then Mapped the city again for Japan: 24 of 26 buildings placed. A building not found again is named, to place with Map by hand. An Auto map scan of a city that changed culture maps it again whole, buildings placed by hand included; Check all buildings only says the city changed. If the map cannot be redone there, the task says so and asks for an Auto map run on that emulator.
Buildings
A city map can hold every building of a city: the Keep, the Walls, the Watchtower, the Rally Spot, the Shrine, the Tavern, the Holy Palace, the Art Hall, the Pasture, the Workshop, the Arsenal, the Wonder, the Military Academy, the Victory Column, the Triumphal Arch, the Council of State, the Wisdom Dome, the Warehouse, the Research Factory, the Barracks, the Archer Camp, the Stable, the Academy, the Forge, the Hospital, the Embassy, the Market, the Trap Factory, the Prison and the War Hall. The Rally Spot is placed by its spot alone — it needs no picture.
