Reading the interface
The window in each theme, where every page lives, status colours, notifications, the jump palette and every Settings control.
Evonex ships three looks — Aurora, Prism and Standing Watch — and each has its own structure as well as its own colours: where the navigation sits, and how the Dashboard, an instance's workspace and Settings are laid out. The controls keep the same names in all three, so once you know where your theme puts things, any screen reads at a glance.
Every page opens from the navigation — a sidebar in Aurora, a dock across the title bar in Prism, a console along the bottom edge in Standing Watch. The Calculator and Studio open from two icons on the title bar in every theme. Pick a theme on Settings ▸ Appearance.

Where each page lives
Dashboard, Instances, Coordex, City Mapper, Resources
In this order: down Aurora's sidebar, across Prism's dock, along Standing Watch's console. The page you are on is lit.
Settings
Last in the navigation: at the foot of Aurora's sidebar, at the right end of Prism's dock, the last key on Standing Watch's console.
Calculator and Studio
Two icons on the title bar, the Calculator first, just left of the light / dark control — Aurora's sun / moon button, Prism's switch, Standing Watch's lever. The open page's icon is lit; point at one for its name.
Instances
Returns to what you last had open there — the instances, or an instance's workspace. Opened again while you are on it, it goes back to the instances.
The window in Aurora
Title
Evonex followed by · AUTOMATION CONSOLE, at the left of the title bar.
Calculator and Studio
A pill of two icons just left of the sun / moon button.
Sun / moon button
Switches between dark and light in the current theme — Switch to light theme or Switch to dark theme.
Collapse menu
The button at the top of the sidebar. It narrows the sidebar to icons and hides the version line; click it again to bring the names back.
Sidebar
Dashboard, Instances, Coordex, City Mapper and Resources, with Settings at the foot.
Version line
At the foot of the sidebar: the version you are running, for example v0.2.0 · Evonex.
Notification strip
The line along the bottom of the window — see The notification bar below.
The window in Prism
Brand
Evonex over AUTOMATION CONSOLE, at the left end of the title bar.
Dock
The pages across the title bar: Dashboard, Instances, Coordex, City Mapper and Resources, then Settings after a divider. A lit face marks the open page and slides to the next one you pick.
Labels button
At the dock's right end. Hide labels leaves the icons alone (point at one for its name) and Show labels brings the names back; Evonex remembers your choice. When the window is too narrow for names the dock shows icons by itself, and the button reads Show page names: it opens a list of every page under the dock — Up, Down and Enter work there, and Esc or a click outside closes it.
Calculator and Studio
Two icons just left of the light / dark switch.
Light / dark switch
Two segments, sun and moon; the lit one is the mode you are in. A click switches — Switch to light theme or Switch to dark theme.
Notification strip
The line along the bottom of the window — see The notification bar below.
Version
At the right end of the notification strip.
The window in Standing Watch
Standing Watch keeps the title bar slim and navigates from a console along the window's bottom edge.
Brand
The EVONEX wordmark, the version you are running and AUTOMATION CONSOLE, at the left of the title bar.
Location
Centred on the title bar: where you are, by the page's grid code — A1 · DASHBOARD, or A2 · INSTANCES › NORTHWATCH › PLAN while an instance's Plan is open.
Calculator and Studio
Two keys just left of the lever. Point at one for its grid code and name.
Lever
The moon by night, the sun by day. A click throws the mode — Switch to light theme or Switch to dark theme.
Clock
At the left end of the console: the time over the date, beside a small radar whose sweep stands at the minute.
/ JUMP
Opens the jump palette — the same as pressing /.
Page keys
Dashboard, Instances, Coordex, City Mapper and Resources, then Settings after a divider, each with its grid code (A1, A2 …). The open page's key is lit, its code in red with a red line along its top. The Instances key carries a red count while any instance has an error or needs setup.
Notifications
At the console's right end: NOTIFICATIONS and what the feed says, with the version under it. A click opens the notifications panel — see The notification bar below.
On a narrower window the keys first tighten, then drop their names and keep their icon and code; at its narrowest the notifications fold to the bell and the count.
In every theme
Minimise, maximise, close
The usual window buttons. Double-click the title bar to maximise or restore; drag it to move the window; drag any edge or corner to resize.
Closing the Evonex window stops every running instance — they run inside Evonex. Minimise it instead. When Evonex opens again, every instance is stopped until you press Start. If Studio has unsaved changes, Discard changes? asks before the window closes.
Banners
Two banners can appear under the title bar. Neither interrupts a running instance.

Update banner
Evonex … is ready to install., naming the new version. Appears when a newer version is published. What's new opens the release notes on the website; Update opens the Update Evonex window; ✕ — Dismiss until the next version.
Display-size banner
This screen (2560×1440) suggests 125% — Evonex is drawing at 100%. Appears when you move Evonex to a screen, or change to a resolution, that wants a different size. Once you've picked your own size for this screen on Settings ▸ Display, the wording swaps from suggests to is set to — the banner is then telling you your own saved size, not Evonex's guess. Adjust opens Settings; Restart now reopens Evonex at that size; ✕ — Keep the current size for now.

Warning line
What the update interrupts. With instances running or paused: N instance(s) are running or paused. They'll be stopped where they are — a task in progress is cut, not finished — and Evonex reopens when the update is done. With nothing running: Nothing is running, so nothing is interrupted. Evonex closes and reopens on the new version.
Later
Closes the window; the banner stays until you dismiss it.
Update now
Downloads, verifies, then restarts Evonex to finish. Progress runs through Downloading…, Verified., Restarting Evonex to finish the update. It closes now and reopens on its own in a minute — don't start it yourself. (with Stopping N instances… while any are running or paused), then Installing — Evonex will reopen in a moment.
Update when nothing important is mid-run. After Evonex reopens, instances are stopped — press Start on each one you want running.
Themes
Three looks ship, each with a dark and a light mode, and each is a structure of its own: its own navigation, Dashboard, instance workspace and Settings page. The controls keep their names in all three, so every page of this guide applies whichever you use — and its Screenshots picker shows each picture in your look.
Aurora
Soft glass panels, gentle motion and a quiet pulse on running lamps. The sidebar; a Dashboard of stacked cards; a workspace that switches views on a row of tabs; Settings as a page of cards. Evonex starts in Aurora, light mode.
Prism
Cut glass lit from one side; nothing pulses. The dock across the title bar; a Dashboard of three columns — the fleet now, the day's lanes, the record. In the workspace a crown carries the instance's name, status and live facts over every view, and a rail of five glass facets down the right switches views; the Overview lays the session on a lane, the Plan refracts the day into what runs next, and the instance's Settings stand as four bands. Settings is your account throwing a ray to five bands.
Standing Watch
A blacked-out plotting board drawn in chalk, with one red. The console on the bottom edge and a slim title bar; a Dashboard that plots the fleet's game day on a radar, THE WATCH PLOT, beside the FLEET ledger. In the workspace numbered tabs sit under the instance's name; the Overview and the Plan share one radar of the instance's day, Duties is one ruled sheet, Task setup puts the library beside the form, and the instance's Settings are plates. Settings is one ruled sheet with a § rail. Coordex plots coords around Home, and City Mapper is a gallery of map tiles.
Status colours
An instance's status uses one set of words and colours on the Dashboard, the Instances page and the workspace:
Running
Green. Working through its plan and duties.
Resting · 12m
Blue. On a rest break, with the minutes left.
Reclaim 1m 20s / Yielded
Orange. The account was opened on another device; the instance is waiting, with the time until it takes the game back.
Recovering
Orange. Reopening the game after a crash or a freeze.
Paused
Orange. Held by you with Pause.
In use
Orange. Another running instance is using the same emulator.
Needs setup
Orange. A Start was refused because something is missing; the reason shows with it.
Error
Red. Stopped by an error; the reason shows with it.
Ready
Blue. Stopped, and its emulator answers.
Offline
Grey. Stopped, and its emulator does not answer.
No emulator
Grey. No emulator address is set.
Stopped
Grey. Not running.
Prism's Dashboard and Standing Watch's pages also draw each state as a mark of its own shape, so it reads without its colour. Runs use their own marks, the same everywhere:
✓ green — finished fine.
✕ red — failed.
⊘ blue — stopped, by you or by a check. A stop is never a failure.
● — still running.
○ grey — the run's ending was never recorded, usually because Evonex was closed mid-run.

Settings holds the same controls in every theme, laid out three ways. Aurora shows your account strip, a row of cards — Appearance, Display, Text recognition, Logs — that re-flows to the width of the window, and About along the foot; each card carries a small state pill in its header. Prism shows your account on the left throwing a ray to five bands: Appearance, Display, Text recognition, Logs and About. Standing Watch shows one ruled sheet — §02 Appearance, §03 Display, §04 Text recognition, §05 Logs — beside a column with the §01 Account and §06 About plates; the § rail down the left edge lights the section under your pointer, and a click on a § brings that section into view.
Appearance
Theme
Aurora, Standing Watch or Prism — buttons in Aurora, tiles in Prism, a miniature of each look in Standing Watch. Applies at once. Default: Aurora.
Appearance / Mode
Dark or Light within the chosen theme — the same switch as the title bar's mode control. Aurora's card calls it Appearance; Prism and Standing Watch call it Mode, and Prism's tiles add the modes' names, OBSIDIAN and CRYSTAL. Default: Light.
Reduce motion
Snap animations to their final frame — the same information, without movement. A switch in Aurora's card header, under Motion in Prism, and beside Mode in Standing Watch with a line saying what it changes. Default: off.
Display
How large Evonex draws itself on this screen. The size is remembered per screen resolution, and a new size takes effect when Evonex reopens.
State pill
100% · active (green) when the size in use matches the setting; 125% · pending (orange) when a new size is waiting for a restart; · fixed when the size is forced from outside Evonex and can't be changed here; Unavailable when the screen can't be read.
This screen
The screen's resolution, and the Windows scaling when it isn't 1× — for example This screen: 2560×1440 · Windows 1.5×.
− and + buttons, slider
Smaller and Bigger step the size by 5%; the slider does the same by dragging. The range runs from 75% up to the largest size that fits this screen.
Percentage
The size you have picked.
Restart to apply
Reopens Evonex at the picked size. Greyed until the pick differs from the size in use. With instances running it asks first — Restart Evonex? — and offers Stop and restart or Not now.
Recommended
Go back to the size Evonex suggests for this screen.
Status line
Where the size came from: The size that ships for this screen, Borrowed from the closest calibrated screen, Evonex's estimate for this screen — adjust it or Your own setting for this screen; after a change, Saved — Evonex reopens at this size.
Text recognition
Evonex reads the game's names, numbers and timers with the text recognition built into Windows. Nothing is sent anywhere.
State pill
English ready (green) — the best case. Fallback language (orange) — another installed language is used; adding English reads the game more accurately. Not available (red) — no recognition language is installed, so nothing that needs reading can run. Check failed (red) — the check itself went wrong. Hover the pill for the full message.
Windows reads the game's text for Evonex.
The one-line reminder beside it.
Re-check
Re-detect installed OCR languages (after adding one).
Language settings
Opens Windows' language settings, where you add English.
Logs
Everything the bot does is logged on this PC — one combined log plus one per instance. This section exports a slice of it to a file you can read or attach to a report.
State pill
The window you picked: Last 24h, Last 7d and so on, or Custom range.
Refresh button
Reload the instance list for Scope.
Range
1h, 24h, 7d, 30d or Custom — the last hour, day, week or month up to now. Default: 24h.
From / To
Shown only while Custom is picked: the start and end of the window, to the minute.
Scope
All instances (combined log), or one instance, listed as its name and number — for example Northwatch (#1). Default: all instances.
Export…
Asks where to save, then writes every log line in the window. The line under the buttons reports Exported 1240 line(s) → …, No log lines in that window — nothing exported (file written empty)., or ⚠ 'From' must be before 'To'.
Open folder
Open the folder Evonex writes its logs to.

Check for updates
Asks the Evonex website whether a newer version exists; nothing downloads. The answer is You're up to date, Update available (with where to get it), Nothing published yet, or Couldn't reach the update server — try again later. Prism and Standing Watch also keep the answer as a line in About, and after You're up to date Standing Watch stamps the plate UP TO DATE with the day of the check.
The notification bar
Messages from the Evonex team — maintenance notices, update news and messages meant for you — arrive in a strip along the bottom of the window in Aurora and Prism, and at the right end of the console in Standing Watch. It reads the same way in all three.

Troubleshooting
I can't find the sidebar.
Only Aurora has one. Prism navigates from the dock across the title bar, Standing Watch from the console along the bottom edge — the same pages in the same order. Switch theme on Settings ▸ Appearance if you prefer the sidebar.
Where are Studio and the Calculator?
On the title bar, as two icons just left of the light / dark control, in every theme.
Prism's dock shows only icons.
Either its labels are hidden — click the labels button at its right end — or the window is too narrow for names; then the same button opens a list of every page.
Evonex looks too small or blurry on my screen.
Open Settings ▸ Display, click Recommended or pick a size, then Restart to apply.
Restart to apply is greyed out.
The size you picked is the size already in use. Move the slider first.
Text recognition reads Not available.
Windows has no recognition language installed. Click Language settings, add English, then click Re-check. Until then the bot can't read names, numbers or timers.
The notifications say not checked yet.
Evonex hasn't reached the server since it opened — usually a network problem. It keeps trying on its own; opening the panel asks again.
I closed Evonex and my instances stopped.
Instances run inside Evonex, so closing it stops them. Open Evonex and press Start; next time minimise the window instead.
Check for updates says it couldn't reach the update server.
Check your internet connection and try again later.
