Resources

Traps

Build cost per trap for every tier of the four wall traps, behind the Trap Building plan.

Resources ▸ Traps is the defensive twin of Troops. It records what one trap costs to build at the Trap Factory for each of the four kinds (Trap, Rock, Abatis, Fire Arrow) at every tier, in Food, Wood, Stone and Ore. Traps cost no gold, so there is no gold column. The Trap Building plan is built from this library.

Find it at Resources ▸ Traps. It is a library, not a task or a duty: every instance shares it, and nothing on this tab runs on a schedule. A change is saved when you confirm it, and every instance's task settings see it the next time they are opened.

The Traps library: kind filter and tier sort, Add Tier, and one card per tier with the four kinds and their four costs.

Set it up

  1. Open Resources ▸ Traps. The costs ship filled in; nothing needs doing before you use Trap Building.
  2. When the game unlocks a new tier, click Add Tier, type the cost of one trap of each kind, and click Add tier.
  3. If a cost changes in the game, click that kind's row on the tier card and correct it.

The Traps screen

Kind filter
Tick which kinds the cards show. With all four ticked it reads All Kinds; with two ticked it names both, for example Rock, Abatis; with three ticked it shows the count instead, for example 3 selected. The last ticked kind cannot be unticked. Default: all.
Sort
Tier (T1 → up) or Tier (high → T1). Default: Tier (T1 → up).
Add Tier
Opens Add trap tier (tooltip Add a new tier (e.g. T11) for all four trap kinds).
Result line
The tier span and count, for example T1–T10 · 10 tiers. Clear filters appears only while the kind filter hides a kind.
Hint
Cost to build one trap, at the Trap Factory. Click a kind row to edit it, or use a card's Edit to change the whole tier at once.
Tier card
A Tier 7 badge, two icons, a header row of resource names with their icons, and one coloured row per kind. A cost of zero shows as –.
Leaning cost
Every trap spends a double share of one resource. That cell is drawn bold in the resource's own colour; hover it for Rock costs mostly stone and so on. The colour is read from the row's own numbers, so after an edit it follows what the row now says; a tie colours nothing.
Edit all of Tier (sliders icon)
Opens Edit Tier 7 with all four kinds.
Delete Tier (bin icon)
Asks Delete Tier 7 for all trap kinds? and removes a tier you added. Built-in tiers cannot be deleted: the bin is greyed out with Built-in tier — can't delete.
Kind row
Click a row to open Edit Abatis T7 (or whichever kind and tier) for just that row.
Empty grid
No trap tiers yet with Add a tier.

Add trap tier and Edit Tier

  1. Tier
  2. Cost grid
  3. Add tier / Save
Edit Tier: the tier number and the cost to build one trap of each kind.
Tier
The tier number, T1–T99. It identifies the tier, so it is locked when editing. Default for a new tier: one above the highest tier you have. A tier that already exists gives Tier exists.
Cost grid
Cost to build ONE trap. Leave a resource at 0 if that kind doesn't use it. One row per kind (Trap, Rock, Abatis, Fire Arrow), one column per resource (Food, Wood, Stone, Ore), each 0–99,999,999. Default for a new tier: 0.
Add tier / Save
Add tier for a new tier, Save when editing.
Cancel
Cancel, the ✕ in the title bar, or Esc closes the window without saving. If a check fails when you click the main button, a message says what is wrong and the window stays open with everything you entered.

Edit one kind row

  1. Heading
  2. Cost fields
  3. Save
Editing a single trap row: its four resource costs.
Heading
The kind and tier, for example Abatis · T7.
Food, Wood, Stone, Ore
The cost of one trap, each 0–99,999,999.
Save
Saves this row only.
Cancel
Closes without saving. ✕ and Esc do the same.

Troubleshooting

Trap Building says “No trap tiers in the library yet”.
This tab is empty. Click Add Tier and enter each tier's costs.
A tier is missing from a kind's rail in Trap Building.
The rail shows only tiers held here. Add the tier with Add Tier.
The plan's cost looks wrong.
Click that kind's row on the tier card and correct the numbers against the game's Trap Factory.
A row has no coloured cell.
Two resources share the highest cost, or the row is all zeros, so no single resource leads. Check the numbers against the game.
The bin on a tier is greyed out.
It is a built-in tier. It cannot be deleted, but its costs can be edited.
A cost I corrected went back after updating Evonex.
The built-in costs follow the release: the first time a new version starts, they are brought to the numbers it ships. Tiers you added are kept.
