Cultivate Generals

Roll a general's cultivation with gold, keeping the rolls that bring the stats you chase up and level.

Cultivate Generals rolls a general's cultivation bonuses — Leadership, Attack, Defense and Politics — with gold. After every roll it reads the new values and keeps or cancels them, chasing the stats you pick toward the gold ceiling of about 300 each.

It runs from two places, and each keeps its own settings. As a plan task: Duties ▸ Tasks ▸ Add to plan, then Instances ▸ Open an instance ▸ Task setup ▸ Cultivate Generals. As a daily activity under the game's own name, General enhancing: Duties ▸ Daily activities ▸ General enhancing ▸ ⚙. The two do not hold each other.

Set it up as a plan task

  1. Scan your generals so the one you want is in Resources ▸ Generals.
  2. On Duties, click the Cultivate Generals chip under Add to plan.
  3. Open Task setup ▸ Cultivate Generals. Flip the switch to Pick from list and tap the general.
  4. Choose the stats under Focus these stats, set Max cultivations to the total number of rolls you will pay for, and press Save changes.
  5. On Duties ▸ Tasks, open its ⚙ and choose Finish it — how the rolls are spread (see The Rhythm sheet below).

Set it up as a daily activity

  1. On Duties ▸ Daily activities, switch General enhancing on.
  2. Click ⚙, open the Task setup tab and tap the general to cultivate. It ships on Pick from list with 5 rolls a turn, but no general — it cannot run until you pick one.
  3. Press Done.

The settings form

Summary line
Cultivate generals with gold, up to a cap of ~300.
On-screen general / Pick from list
The mode switch; the active side is bold. On-screen general cultivates whichever general's Cultivate window is already open in the game — no navigation. Pick from list opens the general you pick below. Default: On-screen general on the plan task; Pick from list on the duty.
Max cultivations … times
The most rolls to spend. On the plan task this is the total for the general, spread over visits by the Rhythm sheet; on the duty it is per turn. Range 1 to 999, in steps of 5. Default: 50 on the plan task, 5 on the duty.
Subtitle line
Says what the mode does, and in Pick mode which general is selected — tap a general in the list below until you pick one.
Focus these stats
All, Leadership, Attack, Defense, Politics. A chased stat shows ✓; an unchased one shows · — it still rolls, you just do not chase it. All turns every stat on or off. Default: All.
Stats help line
Explains the choice: chasing all four toward about 290–300 each, chasing the ones you picked, or Blind cultivation when none is picked — every roll is kept, up to the max count.
All categories
Pick mode: which in-game Generals tab to look under — All categories, Military, Development, Duty or Subordinate City. Default: All categories.
List / Detail
Pick mode: which in-game view to search the general in. Default: List.
No filter / Favorite / Idle
Pick mode: in-game filters to apply before searching; tick one or both. Default: No filter.
Search generals…
Filters the tiles by name.
General tiles
Every general in Resources ▸ Generals, framed by rarity and labelled EPIC, LEGENDARY or AWAKENED. Tap one to pick it; only one can be picked. In On-screen mode the list and its filters are dimmed and inactive.
Empty library message
No generals scanned yet — scan a general library on an instance (or add them under Resources → Generals), then pick one to cultivate.
Save changes / All tasks
Save changes appears only while you have unsaved edits; All tasks goes back to the card grid.
A form that has never been saved shows under Needs setup. In On-screen general mode the plan task never starts on its own — its row reads waits for you: it cultivates whichever general is already on your screen. Switch to Pick from list to let it run unattended.

The Rhythm sheet

On the plan, Max cultivations is a budget that is used up and does not refill. Cultivate Generals' ⚙ on Duties ▸ Tasks decides how it is spread.

Status line
A sentence above the rest that says where this task stands right now — for instance that it is asleep until its window opens, already spent today's rolls, or ready to go next — shown only when there is something to report. A state with a direct fix adds a button beside it: Open Task setup when the fix is a setting, Exit Solo when another task is soloed and holding this one back.
Fact line
On Pick from list: This task works through a set amount. You choose by when, and how big one go is — Evonex works out the spacing. On On-screen general it instead reads Waits for you while it cultivates whichever general is already on your screen., because that mode cannot be scheduled to run unattended.
When it may run
Any time, or Only between two times.
Finish it
All in one go does every remaining roll in one visit and holds the screen until done. Today, Within a week or By a date spread the rolls over visits; a line underneath says how many at a time and how often.
At most … at a time
The largest visit when spreading. Hidden under All in one go. Default: 50.
Goal
Reads, for example, 700 total — from your Cultivate Generals plan, with Edit in Task setup, a progress bar and Reset progress to count from zero again.
Reset to default / Done
Reset to default drops this instance's changes and stays open; Done saves and closes.

How it runs

  1. Gets to the Cultivate window. Pick mode opens the Generals window, finds your general using the tab, view and filters you set, opens it and taps Cultivate. On-screen mode checks the window is already open.
  2. Reads the board. If it cannot read it, the run stops before spending any gold.
  3. Checks whether to stop before every roll: every chased stat at 290 or more with one at 300; a chased stat already above what gold can reach; or, in blind cultivation, a stat at 300.
  4. Rolls with gold on the Cultivate Once tab and reads the result. It keeps the roll when it brings the chased stats closer to level near 300 — a stat far below 300 counts for more than one nearly there, so a leading stat may give up a point or two to lift one behind. Otherwise it cancels. Blind cultivation keeps every roll.
  5. Recovers on its own: it switches back from the gem Quick Cultivate tab, decides a roll left waiting on the window (without counting it), and stops if the window disappears.
  6. Stops at this visit's share of Max cultivations, then goes back to the city in Pick mode. On-screen mode leaves the window as it found it.
Gold is spent on every roll, including the ones it cancels. Size Max cultivations to the gold you are willing to spend.

Examples

Troubleshooting

The plan row says “waits for you: it cultivates whichever general is already on your screen”.
The form is on On-screen general. Switch to Pick from list and pick a general.
The run fails with “Pick mode: couldn't open the chosen general and the Cultivate window.”
No general is picked, or it could not be found. Pick one on the form; if it is picked, check the All categories, List / Detail and filter choices match where the general sits in the game.
The run fails with “Not on the Cultivate window.”
On-screen mode needs the general's Cultivate window open in the game before it starts.
The run fails with “Couldn't read this general's cultivate table.”
Something covered the table, or the emulator display is not 540 × 960 at 120 dpi. No gold was spent.
Why did it cancel a roll that added points?
The rule favours the stats furthest below 300. A roll that raises a high stat while lowering a low one can make the general less level, so it is cancelled.
It stopped with “A chased stat is above the gold ceiling”.
That stat was raised with gems before. Gold rolls can only pull it down, so the run stops.
General enhancing and the plan task both cultivated today.
They do not hold each other. Switch one off.
