Profiles
Save an instance's whole setup under a name, bind other instances to it, and keep them matched.
A profile is one instance's setup saved under a name: its tasks — which ones are on the plan, which are switched on, in what order, and Solo — their setup, its duties, its scheduling and its city map. Bind an instance to a profile and it takes that setup at once, tasks included, and keeps following it — set one account up, then copy it to the rest. Profiles are kept with your Evonex account, so they appear on every PC you use Evonex on.
Where: Instances ▸ open an instance ▸ Task setup or Duties ▸ the profile chip at the top right. The dialog opens for the instance you were in, with the profile it follows already selected. To bind many instances at once, use Profile in the Instance Manager — see Instances.

Set it up
- Set up one instance completely — Duties and Task setup.
- Click the profile chip and press New profile from this instance. Name it, for example Farm account, and press Save. The instance is bound to it straight away.
- Open another instance, click its profile chip, select Farm account and press Bind to this instance, then Bind. Its tasks, task setup, duties and scheduling become the profile’s at once.
- From now on, change a bound instance and press Save to profile: every instance bound to the profile follows within a few minutes.
The profile chip
No profile
Hollow ring: this instance follows no profile, and nothing syncs.
Name · In sync
Green lamp: the instance matches its profile.
Name · 3 changes
Orange lamp and edge: this instance has settings the profile does not. Hover for the full sentence.
Click
Opens the Profiles dialog; the chevron flips while it is open.
The left column
New profile from this instance
Saves this instance's tasks, task setup, duties, scheduling and city map as a new profile and binds the instance to it. Asks for a name (suggesting the instance's name). If a profile of that name exists, it asks before overwriting it (Overwrite profile).
YOUR PROFILES
Every profile you have. Each row shows its name and either how many instances follow it or not in use, with when it was last saved — 2 instances · saved 10h ago. BOUND marks the one this instance follows. Click a row to select it.
The selected profile
Name and state
The profile's name, a green In sync pill when this instance matches it, and bound to Northwatch or not bound here.
Rename (pencil)
Renames the profile. Names must be unique; a taken name is refused.
Duplicate (two sheets)
Makes a copy under a new name (suggested: Rally lead copy) and selects it. Nothing is bound to the copy.
Delete (trash)
Deletes the profile from every PC. Instances that followed it stop following and keep the settings they have.
N unsaved changes
Orange band, when this instance is bound and differs from the profile: These live only on this PC. Save them into the profile and every instance bound to it gets them too.
Save to profile
Saves this instance's current setup into the profile, after a confirmation that says how many other instances will follow.
Discard changes
Puts this instance back to exactly what the profile says, after a confirmation. The changes are lost.
Not bound to Northwatch
Dashed band, when the selected profile is not the one this instance follows: Binding replaces this instance's tasks, task setup, duties and scheduling with this profile's, and keeps them matched from then on.
Bind to this instance
Binds the instance after a confirmation, and applies the profile at once. If it was bound to another profile, it now follows this one instead.
WHAT'S IN THIS PROFILE
Three rows — Task setup (8 tasks · 1 on: the tasks on the plan and how many are switched on), Duties (39 duties), Scheduling (1 task) — each with an orange N changed badge when this instance differs. Click a row to list what changed, or Nothing changed here.
Missing tasks
When the profile names tasks your library does not have: 1 task in this profile is not in your library yet: … Their settings travel but can't be applied until you add them.
Copy from another profile
Opens the copy page (below). Tooltip: Take settings from one of your other profiles into this one — whole sections, or just the entries you pick.
USED BY
The instances bound to this profile, or No instance is bound to this profile yet.
Sync line
Saved to your account · 10h ago once the profile has synced, or Not yet saved to your account — it will sync when you're online.
Unbind
Shown when this instance follows the selected profile. Stops following it; every setting stays exactly as it is.
What a profile carries
Task setup
The task list from Duties — which tasks are on it, which are switched on, their order and Solo — and each task's options from Task setup, including ones saved for a task you have not added yet. Tasks go by name, so it works on any instance with the same tasks.
Duties
Every duty's switch and settings from Duties, and the War events answers.
Scheduling
Each task's rhythm and stop rule, set on Duties.
City map
The instance's City map. It is counted under Task setup.
The profile decides the whole task list: binding adds the tasks it has, takes off the ones it does not, and switches each one on or off as it was saved, in the same order. Duties work the same way — the profile wins for every duty, including switching one off. Name, emulator, port, Screen delay, Shared device and Rest breaks are never carried: they belong to the instance.

The back button at the top: returns to the profile without copying.
TAKE SETTINGS FROM
The profile to copy from — any of your others.
WHAT TO COPY
Three sections — Task setup, Duties, Scheduling. Tick a section to take all of it, or open it with its arrow (Choose individual entries in …) and tick single entries. The count beside each says all 31, 2 of 4, none or nothing to copy.
Warning line
What you tick replaces those settings in “Rally lead”. Everything you leave unticked stays exactly as it is.
Cancel
Returns to the profile without copying.
Copy
Copies after a confirmation (Copy settings). With nothing ticked it says Tick at least one section or entry to copy.
The copy changes the profile, not an instance. Instances bound to it follow within a few minutes. With only one profile, the button explains that you need a second one first.
How it runs
- Binding applies at once. The instance's tasks, task setup, duties and scheduling are replaced by the profile's — tasks added, removed and switched as the profile saved them. Tasks your library lacks are skipped, and Evonex names them.
- Following. When the profile is saved — from any bound instance, on any PC — every other bound instance is brought up to date within a few minutes. A running instance picks the change up at its next step and adds a line to its Activity Monitor.
- Unsaved changes do not survive a newer profile. If a bound instance has changes of its own when the profile is saved elsewhere, the profile wins. The Activity Monitor line reads Updated from profile “Rally lead” — 3 unsaved changes on this PC were replaced when the instance is running.
- Unbinding changes nothing in the instance; it only stops following.
- Other PCs. Profiles and bindings sync when you are online, so a profile saved on one PC appears on the next, bound to the same instances. That also makes a profile the way to carry a setup through a reinstall.
If you change a bound instance, press Save to profile before anyone saves the same profile from another instance or PC — otherwise your changes are replaced by theirs.
Examples
- Three farms, one setup. Set up Silverpine, save it as Farm account, and bind Ember Keep to it. Later, change Troop Training on Ember Keep and press Save to profile: Silverpine follows within a few minutes.
- A variant without starting over. Select Farm account, press Duplicate and name the copy Rally lead. Select Rally lead, open Copy from another profile, take Duties only from your main's profile, and bind Northwatch to Rally lead.
- A new PC. Install Evonex, create Northwatch again, open its profile chip and bind it to the profile you saved before. Its tasks, task setup, duties, scheduling and city map come back.
Troubleshooting
The changes I made on a bound instance disappeared.
The profile was saved from another instance or PC, and a newer profile replaces unsaved changes. Make the changes again and press Save to profile right away.
After binding, a task is missing or switched off.
The profile was saved without it, or with it switched off. On the instance you set up, add it or switch it on in Duties and press Save to profile: every bound instance follows.
A bound instance shows changes I did not make.
Profiles carry the task list too, so an instance whose tasks are switched or ordered differently from its profile shows each difference. Press Discard changes to take the profile's, or Save to profile to keep this instance's.
It says tasks are not in my library yet.
The profile names tasks this PC doesn't have — usually tasks built in Studio elsewhere. Add or import them in Studio, then bind again.
My profile isn't on my other PC.
Check the sync line. Not yet saved to your account means it has not synced; it will once this PC is online.
Did Unbind undo my settings?
No. Unbinding keeps every setting as it is; the instance simply stops following the profile.
The chip says No profile, but I made one.
This instance isn't bound to it. Open the chip, select the profile and press Bind to this instance.
Copy from another profile only shows a message.
You have one profile. Make a second one first.
