Marching tasks

Resource Gathering

Keeps gathering marches out on resource tiles, lane by lane, and sends them again as they come home.

Resource Gathering keeps marches out gathering. You set up lanes — Farm, Sawmill, Quarry, Iron Mine and an Alliance lane. Each lane has its own number of marches, the tile levels it takes, how often it refills and how its marches are staffed. The bot fills the lanes in the order you arrange them, and sends again as marches come home.

Where: Instances ▸ open an instance ▸ Task setup ▸ Resource Gathering holds its settings, and Duties ▸ Tasks ▸ Add to plan adds it to the plan. As a plan task it goes out whenever a march comes home. The same activity is also a duty: Duties ▸ Daily activities ▸ Resource gathering ▸ ⚙, which runs on a schedule instead. Use one or the other on an account, not both.

Resource Gathering on Task setup: the dispatch readout, then the lanes in priority order.

Set it up

  1. Open Instances ▸ your instance ▸ Task setup ▸ Resource Gathering.
  2. Switch on each lane you want. A lane that is off folds to one row and keeps its settings.
  3. Tap a lane's march sockets to set how many marches it keeps out. Drag the lanes so the one that matters most is on top.
  4. In each lane, set the level band to the tile levels you want, then pick Refill and how the march is staffed.
  5. Press Save changes. Then add Resource Gathering to the plan on Duties ▸ Tasks and switch it on.

The header

All tasks
Top left. Returns to the Task setup grid. Changes you have not saved are not kept.
Save changes
Top right. Appears as soon as the form differs from what is saved, and disappears once the save lands. If the task is not in the plan yet, the first save says so, and the settings wait for it.
Summary line
Send marches to gather resources from tiles. Read-only.
N/6 marching
Six sockets, one per march. They fill lane by lane, in priority order, as lanes claim marches, and stay pinned while the lanes scroll. Hover for each lane's share. Six is the most the lanes can share between them; the bot still sends only as many marches as the game allows.

DISPATCH READOUT

A live board at the top of the form, refreshed every couple of seconds while the page is open. It only shows what is happening and never changes your settings.

N / M out
How many marches the account has out, from every task, against its march capacity. Capacity reads 6 until the bot has read the real number off the game.
Clear
Forget which marches are still out — reset the dispatch readout. It also re-opens lanes that have used up their Refill allowance, drops level cooldowns, and lets an Alliance lane that found nothing look again. It only resets tracking, and does not recall marches in the game. It takes effect at once, with no Save needed.
Headline
What happens next: Sawmill frees next — back in 2h 14m, 2 tile level(s) on cooldown — next retry in ~18m, No marches out — the next pass fills these slots, or No lanes active — switch a lane on below.
March cards
One card per march that is out: the resource, the tile as X… Y…, and that march's own return countdown. Hover for the full coordinates.
free cards
A muted card for each march a switched-on lane still wants and the account can send. The next pass fills it.
ON COOLDOWN
One pill per lane and level with no free tile lately, such as Iron Mine Lv16 · 18m. The search skips that level until its time runs out.

Five lanes stack in fill priority. To move a lane, drag it by any spot that is not a control; a line shows where it will land.

Order badge
The number on the lane's left edge is its priority. Lane 1 fills first. Lanes start in the order Farm, Sawmill, Quarry, Iron Mine, Alliance.
Lane name
Farm (Food tiles), Sawmill (Wood tiles), Quarry (Stone tiles), Iron Mine (Ore tiles), Alliance (one shared tile).
March sockets
How many marches this lane keeps out at once. Tap socket k to keep k out, or tap the last lit socket to step down; zero is allowed. A tap never takes all lanes together past six. Scroll to nudge once it has focus. Default: 1 on a resource lane.
Switch
Send gather marches to this lane's tiles. Off folds the lane to one row, frees its marches and keeps its settings. Default: off for every lane.
Level band
The tile levels this lane gathers, on a strip running from 18 on the left down to 1. Click to move the nearer end there, or drag to stretch the band. The readout under the strip shows the band, such as Lv 18 – 16. The search starts at the band's top and works down to its floor. Default: Lv 18 – 16.
Full tiles only
Only take untouched tiles. With it off, the bot also takes tiles someone abandoned mid-gather. Default: off.
Refill
How often this lane refills — not when the task runs. Once: fill to its march count once, then stay put until you press Clear on the dispatch readout. Daily: fill once per game day, then leave it. Always: send again whenever one of its marches gets back. Default: Always.
March preset / General preset
How each march is staffed. March preset applies one of the game's march presets. General preset staffs the march from a saved General Preset. Click the lit option again to clear it. With neither picked, the lane reads staffed as the game pre-selects and marches with whatever the game offers. Default: neither.
Preset dots 1–8
Shown with March preset: which in-game march preset carries the troops. Default: 1.
General preset dropdown
Shown with General preset: the saved preset to staff from, with its pairing rules followed. Choosing General preset selects your first saved preset. The option is greyed out, with a hint, until you have saved a General Preset. Default: — none —.

The Alliance lane switched on, with two resources ticked.
One march socket
The Alliance lane holds at most one march. Its socket starts at 0, so tap it as well as the switch, or the lane sends nothing. Default: 0.
Food · Wood · Stone · Ore
Which of the alliance's resource buildings to gather from. Leave all four unticked to take any of them. Default: none ticked.
No level band or Full tiles only
Alliance tiles have neither. Refill and staffing work as on the other lanes.

The bot doesn't use the world-map search for this lane. It opens your alliance's resource buildings instead, takes the first open building among the resources you ticked, flies to its tile and occupies it. A building your alliance hasn't built can't be gathered from. When every building you allow is closed, the lane is left alone until the next Start, or until you press Clear.

Resource Gathering's Rhythm sheet: opening hours, and nothing that fights your marches.
Where it stands
The line at the top: it goes when a march is free, so it follows your marches rather than the clock.
Task description
This task runs whenever a march is free — how many go out, and how often they're re-sent, come from its Task setup.
When it may run
Any time, or Only between two times (HH:mm). An end earlier than the start runs overnight. Default: Any time.
Reset to default
Clears this instance's change. Greyed out when there is none.
Done
Saves and closes.
There is no How often here because the task follows your marches. On Plan, while it waits, it says why: waiting for marches to return, batching this return — sending at …, march quotas spent — reopens at …, or march quotas spent — reopens when you press Clear.

As a daily activity

The Resource gathering row on Duties ▸ Daily activities runs gathering on a schedule, once a game day or every few hours, instead of whenever a march comes home. Each turn is one gathering pass into the lanes set up on the duty. The row's ⚙ opens a window titled Resource gathering with two tabs.

Schedule tab
when and how often this duty runs.
How often
Once a day: one turn per game day. Every few hours: comes back on an interval. Default: Once a day.
Run before plan tasks
Shown with Once a day. On: this duty runs before the plan's first task of the day. Off: it waits for free time and only pushes into a busy plan as the reset gets close. Default: off.
Come back every
Shown with Every few hours. The interval in hours, measured from the last time the duty actually ran. Range 1–24. Default: 6 hours.
Run cap
Shown with Every few hours. Use up to N per Game day: the most turns in one game day. No cap means as often as the schedule says. Range 0–99. Default: No cap.
Retry when it fails
How many times a failed turn is tried in one game day, with the wait growing between tries. 1 means no retry. Range 1–10 tries a day. Default: 3.

Reset task settings
Asks first, then puts this duty's lanes back to their defaults (every lane off) and closes. The schedule is not affected.
Record line
Along the bottom: what this duty remembers about its own turns. It reads Nothing recorded yet before the first turn.
Reset records
Asks first, then forgets that record so the duty may take another turn. Nothing in the game changes, and your settings are untouched.
Done
Saves both tabs and closes. The title-bar ✕, or Esc, closes without saving.
Set gathering up in one place per account: the plan task or the duty. Two setups of the same activity both send marches.

How it runs

  1. As a plan task, it comes due when a march comes home. It waits five minutes after the first return, so several marches go back out in one trip. With nothing out at all, it goes straight away.
  2. On the world map it reads the March panel: how many marches are out, of how many. The first time, before it knows your march count, it sends one march to find out.
  3. It lists the lanes that are on and keep at least one march, in priority order, and works out how many marches each is short within its Refill rule.
  4. For each short lane it opens the map search, picks the resource, ticks full tiles if the lane asks, and searches from the top of the level band down. It never marches to a tile below the band, even when the game offers one. It passes over a tile the account is already gathering and keeps looking at that level; only a level with no free tile left goes on a 20-minute cooldown.
  5. It occupies the tile, staffs the march as the lane says, reads the gather and travel times, and presses March. The march counts once the march window has closed and it has left; if the tap did not take, nothing is counted. If a lane finds nothing, its march goes to the next lane instead.
  6. It stops when the free marches are used up. If the game says You cannot send more troops, it waits until the soonest march is home. If the March button is greyed out, it stops with No troops left — stopped the gather.

Each tile is one row in the Activity Monitor. For example, Looking for an open Sawmill at Lv 18 closes as Sent a march to the Sawmill, or with what went wrong. Back-to-back passes fold into one card.

Gathering holds off during SvS, starting from the purge, because marches on the open map are free points for the other side. To hold through the Kill Event as well, switch on Also hold during Kill Event on Duties ▸ Protection ▸ War events. Marches already out are left where they are.
Once really means once. A lane on Once fills a single time and then sends nothing more, not after a Stop and Start and not the next day, until you press Clear on the dispatch readout.
Pair it with the Gathering speed buff: on Buffs ▸ Gathering speed, pick Resource Gathering under Runs with.

Examples

Farm account, around the clock
Sawmill 2, Quarry 2 and Iron Mine 2, all on Always, each with the band at Lv 18 – 14 and March preset 3. Farm and Alliance off. Every march that lands goes back out within a few minutes.
Main account, one wood run a day
Sawmill only: 1 march on Daily, with General preset set to a preset of your gathering generals. One march goes out after each reset, then the lane rests.
Alliance tile first, then farms
Alliance on, its socket lit, Food and Stone ticked, dragged to the top. Farm 3 below it on Always. The Alliance tile fills first, and the rest go to farms.

Troubleshooting

Readiness says it needs at least one of “food on”, “wood on” … set before it can run.
No lane is switched on. Switch a lane on in Task setup, or on the duty's Task setup tab.
The run ends with “No tiles enabled — nothing to gather”.
A lane is switched on but keeps 0 marches. The Alliance lane starts at 0, so tap its socket.
A lane never sends: “No open Sawmill near your city this pass”.
The search found no free tile in that level band near your city. Widen the band downwards, or turn off Full tiles only. The empty level waits out a cooldown, shown under ON COOLDOWN.
It sent once and stopped, and the plan says “march quotas spent”.
The lane is on Once, which reopens only when you press Clear, or on Daily, which reopens at the game reset. Switch it to Always to keep it topped up.
The first run sent only one march.
The bot didn't know yet how many marches the account has, so it sent one to bring up the March panel. From then on it uses the real number.
It stopped with “No troops left — stopped the gather”.
The March button was greyed out because there were no troops at home for that march. Train or heal troops, or bring some back from other marches.
“Couldn't read how many marches are out — skipping this pass”.
Something covered the March panel, or the reading disagreed with itself. The bot skips the pass rather than guess, and tries again on the next one.
The Alliance lane reports no open tile in the Alliance building.
None of the alliance buildings you ticked is open. The lane is left alone until the next Start, or until you press Clear.
General preset is greyed out.
Save a General Preset first: Resources ▸ Generals ▸ General Presets. The option lights up the next time the lane is shown.
A march preset “isn't set up” or “is locked”.
That in-game preset is empty or not unlocked yet. The bot skips the send. Pick another preset dot, or set the preset up in the game.
Nothing is gathered over the weekend.
SvS holds gathering from the purge until the war ends. The Kill Event does too when Also hold during Kill Event is on under War events.
The duty's copy shows no marches in its readout.
The live readout follows the plan task on Task setup. The duty runs on its own schedule; open a run in the Activity Monitor to see what it sent.
