Black Market

Choose what gold, resources and gems may buy, mark goods to buy again, and refresh for more.

Black Market shops the in-game Black Market for you. You choose what each currency may buy: gold, resources and gems each buy nothing, only the goods you pick, or (gold and resources only) everything on the shelf. You can also mark goods to buy again when the game offers a rebuy. It shops the shelf, refreshes the market, and shops the new shelf.

It runs from two places, and each keeps its own settings. As a plan task: Duties ▸ Tasks ▸ Add to plan, then Instances ▸ Open an instance ▸ Task setup ▸ Black Market. As a daily activity: Duties ▸ Daily activities ▸ Black Market ▸ ⚙. The two do not hold each other, so switch on one, not both.
  1. Refresh count and quick picks
  2. Currency tabs and Rebuy
  3. What the open tab buys
  4. A picked good
The Black Market form: the refresh count on top, then a tab for each currency and a Rebuy tab over the goods.

Set it up as a plan task

  1. Map and calibrate the Market in City Mapper, and give this instance its city map (link the map to its emulator, or pick it as City map in Settings).
  2. Check Resources ▸ Black Market holds the goods you want, each with the right Buy with currencies.
  3. On Duties, click the Black Market chip under Add to plan.
  4. Open Task setup ▸ Black Market. In the Gold tab choose what gold may buy: Nothing, Picked goods or Everything. Do the same in the Resources tab.
  5. In a tab on Picked goods, tap a good to buy it with that currency, and tap it again to drop it. Pick all picks a whole group.
  6. To spend gems on a good, open the Gems tab and tap it there. Gems are never spent on a good you did not pick in the Gems tab.
  7. If you want, open the Rebuy tab and tap the goods to buy again when the market offers them.
  8. Set Refresh … times to the refreshes you want per game day — a new plan starts at 3 — and press Save changes.
  9. On Duties ▸ Tasks, open Black Market's ⚙ and choose how the day's refreshes are spread (see The Rhythm sheet below).

Set it up as a daily activity

  1. On Duties ▸ Daily activities, switch Black Market on. It ships ready: Gold and Resources on Everything, Gems on Nothing, 5 refreshes a turn.
  2. To change that, click ⚙, edit the Task setup tab, and press Done.

The settings form

Summary line
Shop the Black Market — buy the goods you picked.
Refresh … times
How many times to refresh the market for a new shelf. On the plan task this is the budget for the whole game day; on the duty it is per turn. 0 reads never. Range 0 to 9,999. Default: 3 on the plan task and 5 on the duty. Drag the number to scrub, or click it to type. The game gives 3 free refreshes a day; after those, each costs 50 gems. The bot cannot see how many free ones are left, so refreshes you made by hand that day count too.
3 · 5 · 10
Quick picks for the refresh count. The lit one matches the count.
Gold · Resources · Gems · Rebuy (tabs)
Each tab shows what it does now — for example Everything · 12, 3 picked or Off — with a lit lamp while it buys something. Click a tab to see its goods.
Spend … on: Nothing · Picked goods · Everything
Nothing never spends that currency on goods. Picked goods buys only the goods lit in that tab. Everything buys every good priced in that currency, even ones not in your library. Gems have no Everything. Default: Nothing in every tab on a new plan task. At least one tab must buy something, or the task shows under Needs setup.
Goods
The open tab's goods, in groups: resource packs, speedups, experience, monarch gears and more goods. A tab shows only the goods that can be priced in its currency. A lit good with a check is bought with that currency; tap a good to pick it or drop it. Tapping a good while its tab is on Nothing switches the tab to Picked goods. On Everything every good is lit and a tap changes nothing. A dashed good is picked but its tab is on Nothing; it waits there until the tab is switched back. A blue ↻ corner means the good is also marked for rebuy.
Pick all · Clear these
Picks, or drops, every good in that group at once — only the goods on screen, so a search narrows it.
Find a good · All / Picked
Narrow the open tab to goods whose name matches, or to its picked goods only. Opening another tab starts it on All.
Rebuy tab
Lists the goods some tab buys. Tap one to buy it again, in the same currency, when the market shows a rebuy on it — up to the game's 5 a day. The icons under each good show which tabs buy it. A marked good that no tab buys reads NOT BOUGHT.
Empty library message
No goods in the library yet — add them under Resources → Black Market.
Save changes / All tasks
Save changes appears only while you have unsaved edits; All tasks goes back to the card grid.
Everything in the Gold or Resources tab buys every good priced in that currency — including goods you did not pick and goods not in your library.

The Rhythm sheet

On the plan, the Refresh count is a daily budget. Black Market's ⚙ on Duties ▸ Tasks decides how it is spread across the day.

Black Market's Rhythm sheet: When it may run, Finish it, and the day's refresh goal.
Status line
A sentence above the rest that says where this task stands right now — for instance that it is asleep until its window opens, already spent today's refreshes, or ready to go next — shown only when there is something to report. A state with a direct fix adds a button beside it: Open Task setup when the fix is a setting, Exit Solo when another task is soloed and holding this one back.
Fact line
This task works through a set amount. You choose by when, and how big one go is — Evonex works out the spacing. Names the shape of the schedule, not the numbers — those are set on Task setup and read out under Goal below.
When it may run
Any time, or Only between two times.
Finish it
All in one go spends the day's refreshes in one visit. Today, Within a week or By a date spread them over visits, and a line underneath says how many at a time and how often.
At most … at a time
The largest visit when the refreshes are spread. Hidden under All in one go. Default: 3.
Goal
Reads, for example, 5 a day — from your Black Market plan, with Edit in Task setup to change the number, a progress bar and Reset progress.
Reset to default / Done
Reset to default drops this instance's changes and stays open; Done saves and closes.

The Black Market duty

  1. Reset task settings
  2. Record line
  3. Reset records
  4. Done
  5. “this duty's own copy” header line
The Black Market duty window on its Task setup tab.
Schedule tab
Default: Once a day. The Schedule tab is the same on every Daily activities row — How often (Once a day or Every few hours), Run before plan tasks, Come back every, Run cap, Retry when it fails and Reset schedule. Each is explained on Daily activities.
Task setup tab
The same form, headed this duty's own copy — the Task plan keeps its own. Default: Gold and Resources on Everything, Gems on Nothing, Refresh 5 times per turn, nothing picked.
Reset task settings
Asks first, then restores the duty's shipped setup; the schedule is kept.
Record line and Reset records
What the duty remembers about its turns, and a button that forgets it (it asks first). Nothing in the game changes.
Done
Saves both tabs. ✕ or Esc discards.

How it runs

  1. Checks there is something to buy. With every currency tab on Nothing, it stops at once — No purchase type selected — without walking anywhere.
  2. Opens the Black Market through the Market on your city map, and checks the window opened.
  3. Shops the shelf. For each of the six goods: it is bought when the shelf prices it in a currency whose tab picked it, or whose tab is on Everything; a good marked in the Rebuy tab is bought again if the game shows its rebuy.
  4. Refreshes the market and shops each new shelf, up to the refreshes this visit may use.
  5. Closes the window at the end.

Examples

Troubleshooting

It needs “at least one of buy gold, buy resources, buy gems, sweep gold or sweep resources”.
Every currency tab is on Nothing. Set at least one to Picked goods or Everything and save.
It ran but bought nothing.
A good is bought only when the shelf prices it in a currency whose tab picked it (or is on Everything). Open each tab: a tab on Picked goods buys only its lit goods, and a dashed good waits for its tab to be switched back on.
A swept good is logged without a name.
The good is not in Resources ▸ Black Market, so it is logged as Swept a gold item. The purchase still happened. Add the good with a tile image to see its name.
A picked good was on the shelf but was not bought.
Either the shelf priced it in a currency whose tab did not pick it, or its tile art in the library does not match the game's tile — add a tile image for that variant in Resources ▸ Black Market.
The run fails with “Couldn't open the Black Market via the Market”.
Map and calibrate the Market in City Mapper and give the instance its city map (City map in Settings).
It spent gems I did not expect.
Either a good is picked in the Gems tab, or the refresh count went past the day's free refreshes — refreshes you made by hand that day count too. Check the Gems tab and lower Refresh … times.
A good marked ↻ was not bought again.
A rebuy happens only while the game shows a rebuy on that good. Once the game's daily rebuy limit is used, it shows none.
The shelf was shopped twice today.
Both the plan task and the duty are on; they do not hold each other. Switch one off.
